Partnership Programs
We work with a variety of community partners to develop programs that support community-based cultural activity in Saskatchewan. The community benefits from SaskCulture’s key partnerships with Sask Sport, Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association, Tourism Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Arts Board, Red Cross and the Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport.
Events…Saskatchewan! began as a partnership back in 2000, when the Tri-global partners and Tourism Saskatchewan recognized the need to promote the wide range of sport, culture and recreation events in the province. Today, the partnership is working to establish SaskEvents.com and partner in tools to support planners, advocacy and leadership of Saskatchewan events.
In partnership with the Red Cross, this program supports participation in sport, culture and recreation programs that is free from abuse and harassment.
Key coordinators from each of the Tri-Global partners have continued since 2000, to work on ways to increase the engagement of the First Nations and Métis communities in sport, culture and recreation activities in Saskatchewan.
This program aims to enhance the quality fo life for northerners through the provision of community-based sport, culture and recreation programs after school, in the evenings, on weekends and at community and school special events..
Culture Days is a collaborative pan-Canadian initiative aimed at increasing the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement by all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. The first event national Culture Days event will be taking place September 24-26, 2010.
