Multicultural Iniatiatives Fund - Annual Funding
Annual Funding for Multicultural Organizations supports the establishment and strengthening of multicultural and ethno-cultural organizations and facilitates the expansion of Provincial Cultural Organization funding programs.
Program Objectives
• To support provincial multicultural and ethno-cultural organizations which provide ongoing services and programming that contribute to the advancement of multiculturalism in Saskatchewan.
Criteria
All funds are to be used for the benefit of cultural development in Saskatchewan and for residents of Saskatchewan.
Annual Funding Criteria
- To stimulate and support the advancement of multiculturalism in the main policy areas identified in the Canadian and Saskatchewan Multiculturalism Acts: cultural identity, interculturalism and social issues;
- To increase and complement the quality, quantity, and reach of multicultural programs, projects and activities;
- To develop and support innovative and/or strategic approaches to the advancement of multiculturalism;
- To provide enabling resources to community-based organizations to ensure a wide range of multicultural programs and services are available;
- To support youth initiatives that will contribute to the future development of multiculturalism in society;
- To support developing cultural organizations that require funds to establish ongoing operations and services in unique areas not already funded by conventional support systems.
Eligibility
Registered non-profit organizations significantly engaged in multicultural issues and programs; or multicultural organizations that are not incorporated but are sponsored and supported by organizations approved by SaskCulture.
Organizations intending to apply for Multicultural Initiatives Fund - Annual Funding are required to consult with SaskCulture Inc. staff prior to submitting applications.
